FAIRFAX, VA - Top-seeded Fordham Softball cruised to victory over fifth-seeded Saint Louis, 10-2, on Friday afternoon in their first action at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Softball Championship at George Mason University. Scoring two runs in the first, second and fourth innings before striking for four in the sixth to end the contest an inning early, Fordham did not let a one day push back due to inclement weather affect them. The Rams are back in action on Saturday, May 13, at 1 p.m. against second-seeded Massachusetts in the winner's bracket final. Redshirt freshman Kate Kreslina and sophomore forward Mary Goulding then join the show as the team looks to build a winning streak heading into the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Coach Gaitley then rejoins the program, looking ahead to the Rams' upcoming games, as they host Saint Joseph's on Thursday night at 7 p.m. and Massachusetts on Saturday at 2 p.m. |

The Fordham women's basketball team is in the midst of their stretch run in hopes of winning their second consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship. Despite their push as the regular season draws near its end, the team continues to do great work off the court. Throughout the season, an existing bond with Imani Simon has grown stronger. Simon, a 6-year old from Yonkers, New York, is currently battling sickle cell anemia and is an official member of the Rams after signing a letter of intent on Nov. 3, 2013. She often attends home games, sits on the bench, and even attended a road game in Rhode Island recently. This audio feature highlights Imani's Fordham basketball story. |
